Valuable, Treasured Antiques
Or Worthless Junk?
Hunting for antiques is the joy of search and the thrill of finding some dusty treasure on a long neglected shelf. Sam Norris, owner of Uncle Sam's Antiques and Collectibles, puts it best: "You buy it because you enjoy it. At the top, it should be for the enjoyment more than anything else." However, as in any treasure hunt, there is always the danger of being duped. Gauging what passes for an antique is often difficult if not impossible to an untrained eye, so use caution when buying, Norris warns." "You should either know the person you're dealing with or the product-preferably both." For complete article, please see Easley Progress 6-8-05
